The talented and enterprising David Bailey, AKA No Middle Name (also one half of The Title Sequence), asked me along to sing backing vocals in his single “Another Season”. You can watch my debut as an animated computer and read an interview with David here, where he also gives Love.Stop.Repeat a mention: http://thewhiteboardproject.tumblr.com/post/56412901218/focus-on-no-middle-name

We Covered Cartoon Theme Songs from the 80’s
This is a Song Assignment from couple of weeks ago, when Dave’s sister asked us to pick our favourite childhood cartoon show and cover the theme song. We both poured our heart and souls into it, and you can hear the results and vote at http://songassignment.wordpress.com/

No Singing in Class!
This week for our Song Assignment, Dave and I had to write about school. As a supply TA, I’m spending a lot of time in classrooms at the moment, and Dave’s niece Hannah (age 4) chipped in some vocals and lyrics for his contribution. Have a listen and give us your mark out of 10-you can vote for your favourite and hear the tracks at http://songassignment.wordpress.com/

We climbed a mountain…
Last weekend we went to the Green Man festival, and so last week we were a little too tired to write our song assignments. But this week we decided to relive the joy of mud, cooking outside, portaloos and, oh yeah, seeing music that makes up the greatest festival experiences. You can listen to our songs here and vote for the one you like the best: http://songassignment.wordpress.com/
Also, we’d love your wack-o suggestions for future SA’s 🙂
Here are some of my favourite parts of the weekend, including scrambling up Table Mountain and the hill behind the main stage:
We Played Scrabble! And Wrote a Song About It!
To quote my arch rival, Vladimir Lad:
We went to watch the closing ceremony of the Olympics outdoors this week. We got there early. Being the party animals that we are, we played Scrabble before the show started. It was raging I can tell you. And so we thought we’d bring the magic to you with songs inspired by the words formed during that very game. Exciting right? Right?
So that’s how we wrote songs about Scrabble. See if you like them and vote here: http://songassignment.wordpress.com/

A new song is up!
We Made a Song About the ‘Lympics!
Sorry for the late announcement, but we got into the spirit this week and felt it was our duty, so here you are, two songs about the running, jumping, swimming, cycling and everything else we love. You can listen and vote here: http://songassignment.wordpress.com/

Write a Song About Your First Instrument
So this week I think we both could have written about the recorder, but Dave chose to overlook that for the piano. I managed to record a song about it without playing it-instead I tried my hand at ukelele.
You can listen and vote here, and remember, we’re always looking for more suggestions!
My favourite thing I did this week!
This week I started a job and it made me grow sentimental about the weekend, so here is a song about hanging out with my wonderful friend in London. Listen and vote here: http://songassignment.wordpress.com/
